A digital cooperative app — savings, loans, and member-to-member commerce.
Overview
Sharia Coop is a digital cooperative application — similar to a bank, but built around cooperative membership. It brings core financial services and a member marketplace into one internal product.
The challenge
Financial features demand accuracy and clarity — savings balances, loan states, and transactions all have to be exactly right and easy to understand. Layering an e-commerce marketplace on top, for members to trade with each other, meant keeping two very different mental models coherent in one app.
My role
- Frontend & Mobile Engineer building the member-facing apps.
- Deliver on both Flutter (mobile) and React (web).
Approach
I separated the money side (savings, loans, transactions) from the marketplace so each stays legible, then unified them under one member identity and navigation. GetX + Firebase back the mobile app; React + Redux back the web side.
