Laxmi

Overview

Laxmi is a tailor e-commerce application selling clothes, trousers, jackets and more. Alongside a standard storefront, its defining feature is deep product customisation — customers design their own garments.

The challenge

A normal store sells fixed products; Laxmi sells possibilities. The hard part was a customisation flow where a customer picks colour, material, and shape for shirts, jackets, and trousers — and still lands in a cart and checkout that feel as simple as buying anything off the shelf.

My role

• Frontend Engineer building the storefront.
• Own the custom-clothing configurator, cart, and checkout.

Approach

I built the storefront on familiar e-commerce patterns, then designed the configurator as a guided set of choices (colour → material → shape) that feeds a normal cart — so customisation never breaks the buying flow. i18n makes it multi-language.

What I built

• Full storefront: product list, categories, cart, checkout, and company info.
• The custom clothing feature — customise shirts, jackets, and trousers.
• Multi-language support via i18n.

Under the hood

• Next.js + React Bootstrap, React-Redux for state, React Hook Form for input, Axios for the API.
